Patients Rights and Responsibilities

This practice aims to provide you with the best possible treatment and advice at all times and to help you to keep healthy. We are committed to ensuring high standards of care and services to you and your family.

This leaflet explains what you can expect from us.

We are committed to ensuring that when visiting our surgery you will not normally be kept waiting more than 30 minutes. We will give you a timely warning and proper explanation of the reasons for the delay when this is unavoidable.

We will ensure our patients have 24-hour access to medical care.

Aim for you to have access to a suitably qualified medical professional within 48 hours of your initial contact during surgery hours, or in an urgent case, the same day. undertake to make sure you get the best care possible from the Health Service. If you need to be referred elsewhere we will do our best to get you the treatment and support you require from Consultants, Special Medical Services and any other agencies concerned.

We will make it as easy and agreeable as we can for you to deal with the practice. We will run our practice as efficiently as we can in a way that accommodates your needs. We are aware of the importance of you being seen as quickly as possible when you visit our surgery and we will make any test results you are waiting for available as quickly as we can.

We welcome your suggestions and always take complaints seriously and act on them. Please ask to speak to the Doctor or our Practice Manager if you have any concerns. To help you we have a simple form for you to use if you would prefer to give us written comments. We particularly want to hear from you if we fail to achieve the standards of treatment and advice to which we are committed in this leaflet.
